For those of you who don't know, my dad is a truck driver for Roadway Express. He has worked for the company for over 20 years and absolutely loves his job. Every year there is a state truck driving championship, where drivers around the state can compete in. My dad has competed in these for about 8 years. There are different classes such as tanker, flat bed, 5-axle, 4-axle, ext. The competition includes a test, interview with the Highway patrol, driving on a course with 6 different obstacles (which is really hard!! I don't know how they drive these big rigs in such little confined places) and then they do a pre-trip in which they have to go around the tractor and trailer to find everything that is wrong with it. Within each group there is a winner and then an over all Grand Champion. The winner gets an all expense paid trip to nationals, which this year is in Houston, Texas. My dad has won his division and has made it to nationals 4 years in a row now!!! Congrats Dad, I'm really proud of you!!

Chris has never been in a semi before so we had to kick some little boy out so Chris could have a turn. My dad's showing him around. Cute little trucker Chris!!!

That's way cool! I've known some people who have been doing those competitions for years and never place. Your dad has some mad skills. :)
